Cambridge Sidewalk Poetry
These are a few sample newspaper spreads designed for the city of Cambridge’s Fifth Annual Sidewalk Poetry Competition. Residents of the city can submit poems every year and if chosen, their poems would be pressed into the cement of a sidewalk in Cambridge that needs restoration. With the help of a few Lesley students, the city is celebrating their fifth annual year of the competition. They asked us to design a gallery space that shows off the poems and their stamps, as well as a newspaper that encompasses the feeling of walking down the sidewalk and spontaneously coming across one of the poems.
